Communities In Schools of South Central Texas is pleased to announce the receipt of a very generous grant from the Baptist Health Foundation to provide counseling and suicide prevention services to schools in Guadalupe county.
“We are so grateful to the Baptist Health Foundation for their support of our mission and the very important mental health challenges facing the youth in our community.” said Chris Douglas, Chief Executive Officer of Communities In Schools.
Mental health issues are increasing in our society. Sadly, numerous children in our own communities are suffering from depression and mental illness, resulting in suicides. This generous grant from the Baptist Health Foundation will allow Communities In Schools to provide therapeutic counseling and suicide prevention services to students in our schools.
